One of the industry’s most reliable air conditioners, the Trane XV18 TruComfort™ variable speed air conditioning unit offers up to 18.00 SEER2. It is available in sizes of 2, 3, 4, and 5-ton models. The XV18 features the Climatuff™ variable-speed inverter compressor, woven Spine Fin™ condenser coil, swept fan blade, and Trane Link connectivity. It’s been tested to stand up to the elements, while running as efficiently and cost effectively as possible, giving you peace of mind while lowering cooling costs in your home.

Looking for the same comfort level of a Trane XV20i, but on a budget? The functional components of the Trane XV18 variable speed air conditioner are identical to the XV20i. In order to offer a similar air conditioner at a lower price point, Trane removed the Weatherguard top and reduced the total coil surface area – just slightly lowering the rating to an 18 SEER2 efficiency

The XV18 still qualifies for the Air Conditioner tax credit, meaning that it can maintain high heat output even in northern climates such as Dayton, Ohio. Powered by an inverter-driven compressor, its variable capacity in tiny increments to perfectly match capacity to the current heating and cooling needs of your home. Longer runtime at a lower speed reduces wear and tear from starting and stopping. Compatible Matching Furnaces

The advanced technology in the XV18 only works with tight cooperation between the furnace, air conditioner, and thermostat. Therefore, the XV18 requires installation with matching indoor equipment, either a compatible Trane communicating air handler or gas furnace with evaporator coil.
